5 x 16 = 80
5 x 17 = 85
5 x 18 = 90
5 x 19 = 95
5 x 20 = 100
From this, we can say that the multiple or factor of 5 has either 0 or 1 in the unit’s section.

Question 2:
Solve the following:
(i) 5 x _ = 90
(ii) _ x 5 = 25
(iii) 70 ÷ _ = 14
(iv) 105 ÷ 5 = _
(v) _ ÷ 5 = 8

Solution:

(i) Given that,
5 x _ = 90
As multiplication and division are inverse operations.
90 ÷ 5 is nothing but the blank.
90 ÷ 5 = 18
So, 5 x 18 = 90
(ii) Given that,
_ x 5 = 25
As multiplication and division are inverse operations.
25 ÷ 5 is the blank
25 ÷ 5 = 5
So, 5 x 5 = 25.
(iii) Given that,
70 ÷ _ = 14
70 ÷ 14 = –
70 ÷ 14 = 5
So, 70 ÷ 5 = 14
(iv) Given that,
105 ÷ 5 = _
5 x 21 = 105
So, 105 ÷ 5 = 21
(v) Given that,
_ ÷ 5 = 8
As multiplication and division are inverse operations.
8 x 5 = –
8 x 5 = 40
So, 40 ÷ 5 = 8
